Born in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, a stones throw from Amish country, Susan was raised in the legacy of the simple form, line, and design of that famous style. It is without a doubt that this background became a major influence in her future career as an artist.  She embarked on her education with an Associate of Painting at Pratt Institute, School of Art and Design, New York City. She took advantage of the many art galleries and museums, especially the Metropolitan Museum and the Museum of Modern Art. Upon winning a scholarship to study in Europe, she received a Bachelor of Fine Art at the distinguished Glasgow School of Art, Scotland, UK. During her time in Scotland, she traveled extensively for four years and contributed to various public art works, exhibitions, and custom commissions.  Susan returned to the United States and promptly moved to the South West in pursuit of the legacy of simple forms, color, and artistic beauty. She quickly established herself as a lead designer of strong imagination and reflection, commanding the attention of an international audience. Susan has dedicated herself to creating truly unique and original art to suit all imaginations, traditions, and interiors. Now working full time in her studio. Ms. Osborn previously taught art at the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library, the San Diego Art Department, Southwestern Community College and seventeen years at The Bishops School in La Jolla.
