Winter See by Thomas Martin

Audit

Thomas Martin was a bookie in Pittsburgh, PA during the 1950 and 60’s.  He was a good friend of my grandfather, William Francis Eckles, Sr.  After collecting all the bets, he would disappear to protect himself until the events were over, and it was time to pay-up.  To pass the time in whatever hiding place he stayed usually a hotel in a different town, he painted.  This is one of the paintings that Thomas Martin their gave or sold to my grandfather.

This piece is signed with T.G.M. 61.
