October 2022 - Outer Banks Trip
At the Cannon Beach Reunion, I asked my Mom, and brothers and sister if they wanted to visit the Outer Banks. Colleen and I wanted to go and maybe rent a small house for a week. When we lived on the East Coast, we visited my parents many times in their house in Duck, NC. We missed it after 25 years. Everyone said yes and Mom wanted an elevator. I guess everyone missed the Outer Banks and wanted to revisit. The best time to visit the Outer Banks in the spring or fall. The summers are too hot and crowded. We settled on the Fall of 2022.
Since we needed an elevator for Mom and had a lot of people, we rented a BIG house on the beach in Kill Devil Hills with enough space for 30 people. It had a movie room, a pool room and an outdoor pool and hot tub.
We had our own beach access with a deck on the top of the dune.
